Yesterday, we launched the Best Sitcom Episode Ever tournament, an epic 32-episode bracket that pits the funniest single episodes of TV ever created against each other. And already, things are pretty tight! Our first two matchups were I Love Lucy— Lucy Does a TV Commercial vs. The Honeymooners — Head of the House and The Simpsons — Last Exit to Springfield vs. Seinfeld — The Contest. While the former’s results are pretty clear at the moment, you can see just how damned close The Simpsons vs. Seinfeld is. And voting is still open!
Things should stay interesting later today, as we’re pitting The Cosby Show against Cheers and The Office (US) against The Office (UK). Stay tuned!
Seinfeld puts up a good fight but THE SIMPSONS CAN BEAT THIS. Hurry up and vote.
(Though I am disappoint with the eps they chose to represent the Simpsons. Last Exit to Springfield is pretty good, but they also have the Marge vs. the Monorail which isn’t even the best Conan ep in my opinion - Homer Goes to College is better. Also woulda loved to see some Lemon Tree and Beer Baron up in here)
